C-Screen in the Spotlight: Empowering Safer In-Home Care Across Pennsylvania

We’re thrilled to share that C-Screen was recently featured in the 2025 Pennsylvania Department of Aging (PDA) Top 10 Highlights, spotlighting key innovations and initiatives that are improving transparency and safety for older adults across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania’s Department of Aging has launched an exciting new partnership with C-Screen, integrating our web-based screening and rating platform into the state’s aging services network to help families make safer, more informed choices when it comes to in-home care.

Why This Matters

Choosing in-home care can be one of the most important decisions a family makes. But until now, caregivers’ screening practices (background checks, drug testing, employment verification) haven’t always been easy to understand nor compare.

That’s where C-Screen comes in.

Our platform evaluates, verifies, and rates the hiring and screening practices of in-home care provider agencies working with Pennsylvania’s 52 Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs). This gives families and older adults clarity and confidence, backed by data, not guesswork.

A Win for Transparency & Safety

Here’s what this collaboration brings to the table:

  • Standardized Screening Across the State
Pennsylvania’s AAAs can now request, review, and track screening data using C-Screen, creating a more consistent quality standard for care providers statewide.

  • Empowered Families & Caregivers
With access to clear ratings, families can make more informed decisions about who they trust with loved ones, helping protect older adults from potential abuse, neglect, or fraud.

  • Building Community Trust
Several local agencies – including Lackawanna & Lehigh Counties – have already begun using C-Screen, with some requiring verified ratings for new provider contracts.

Looking Ahead

Being highlighted by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging isn’t just recognition, it’s a reflection of C-Screen’s mission in action: to increase transparency, accountability, and safety in the care industry. As more agencies adopt and share our ratings, families across Pennsylvania will have better tools to choose care providers they can trust.

Stay tuned! Big things are ahead as C-Screen continues to support safer, more transparent hiring across elder care and beyond.
